Fun Day at Hill Ridge Farms

Sydney had a teacher workday and what better way to spend a day out of school than on the farm with great girlfriends and a boy. Sydney loves Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville, she loves the slide, the train and feeding the animals and the fish. The weather was perfect and we were able to have a picnic lunch with our friends. Here are some well, alot of pictures from our fun day.

Sydney zipping down the tunnel slide, Mommy even took a turn on the slide for the first time ever.

Sydney and Katie coming down the slide together, and they would come down the slide and climb back up, over and over over!

The corn box is another one of Sydneys favorites....she even found some friends in the corn box that buried her in corn.....and she LOVED This!!! Even though when we went to the potty, a bucket of corn poured out of our pants.....

The girls on the train screaming.....and they were little loud for sweet Cameron's ears...But three excited little girls are suppose to be loud right??

This is the hay jump....it is basically a trampoline made of hay!

Sneak Peek.....

This is my VERY UNHAPPY girl on the way to Dance Pictures. Sometimes my Sydney tells me I take WAY TO MANY pictures....but that is OK because when she is older, she will be so glad i did.
Mommy wanted to give a sneak peek into what will come in the next few weeks.

Hair in rollers for the first time....And when Sydney looked in the mirror she said, "Mommy why do I look so country"?? I rolled on the floor laughing. I guess in her eye someone walking around in their bathrobe and hair in rollers is country looking???

Sorry....all you get for now is a cover up and the color of the costume, this gorgeous turquoise....Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise that is coming in a few weeks.....And another little hint.....it has something to do with a little furry animal called a teddy bear!! :)

Spring Field Trip to Marbles

Sydney had her spring field trip with Mrs. Phipps kindergarten class at Marbles museum. This happens to be one of our favorite places to go on a rainy day because you spend hours in this museum and come out having learned so much. I went along with Sydneys class as a chaperone and had Sydney and her little friend Melody. It was alot of fun but a bit stressful because this museum is so big and Sydney and Melody enjoy doing different things so I was constantly having to keep them together doing the same thing in hope of not losing anyone...Sydneys favorite areas in the museum is the water splash area, the houskeeping area because she enjoys playing dressup and the new exhibit Moneypalooza because she enjoys playing with all the stuffed animals. the moneypalooza area is an exhibit that is to teach children how to save and manage money such as how to make money walking dogs, or they have a play lemonade stand and pizza shop where the kids can pretend that they are selling lemonade or pizza for money. They also have a big slide in this exhibit that Sydney enjoys playing on.

This is a sweet picture of Sydney waiting in line before going into marbles.....doesn't she have the sweetest little baby face!!!

Down the bus slide into the housekeeping area......entrance into the museum and a tradition which is always the first thing we must do upon entering the museum.

Making a post card at the post office.

Down the slide at Moneypalooza!

The New Face on the 100dollar bill

Sydney and her sweet friend Jason.....Usually where there is Jason....there is Sydney.

Riding the waves....Hang 10!

Sydney and Melody being silly...I think these are cat faces!!!

Sydney loves flowers....It is probably her favorite thing next to food! At marbles they have an outside garden with water cans for the children to water the plants! Sydney says when she grows up "one of her jobs is going to be working at a florist".

All of the Bunn Elementary School students enjoying their "picnic lunch" inside.

I love this picture!!!

Sydneys First Field Day

This year was Sydneys first field day in kindergarten. Field day is basically a day for the children to spend lots of time outside playing games, playing different sports, and doing relay races. I was so thankful to be able to go and share in the time with Sydney and her friends because it was so fun to watch these kids "race" each other and for many of these children it was the first time they have participated in some of these types of races. Some of the relays that they offered were water races, jump rope, sack races, Frisbee toss, 50-yard dash, and finished off with a cool Popsicle treat. Below are LOTS of pictures from the day but it was so hard to pick between the pictures.
This is Sydney racing down the line in the 50-yard dash. Run Sydney Run!!

Working on her Jump rope skills!!

In this relay they had to race down the line and put their nose on the tip of the bat and spin it around in a circle and then race back and tag their other team member and then they raced down. This is Sydneys teacher Mrs. Phipps at the end in the green shirt.

This is Sydney and her little friend Matthew doing a relay where they had to fill their cup with water and race to dump the water in the bucket and the team with the most water in their bucket was the winner...It was a tie....YAY!! And of course the cup had holes in it, so you had to run really fast!

This was another water race....I think the kids enjoyed the water races the most...well I know Sydney did, because she looks for any excuse to get wet. In this relay they had to take their sponge to the water bucket and fill the sponge with water and run to the bucket and ring out their sponge and the team with the most water won.....it was a tye again....YAY!!!

POPSICLE TIME!!!! SO GREAT AFTER A REALLY HOT DAY!!!!

In this relay they had to hold the ball between their partners back and run to the cone and come back and tag the next set of partners. The goal was to get to the end without dropping the ball. Now Sydneys partner was her little "boyfriend" Jason Acosta.....Somehow he always ended up being her partner in all the relays?? Mommy is not ready for this!!

This was Sydneys first sack race, so she had an interested time in figuring out how to hop in these sacks and hop to the cone and back.....

In this relay they had to toss the beach ball up in the air while running to the cone and back....They had to multi-task in this relay!!! Thank goodness my sweet girl is more coordinated than her mommy!

The Frisbee toss.....Sydney became bored very quickly with this relay.....especially when her little partner was not Mr. Jason!!!
